FORD GT40を塗り直せ-2

I sprayed urethane surface primer on the body and exhibited it at the Hobby Forum 2025 last November.

AMRのフォードGT40の再塗装プロジェクトですが、ボディにウレタンサフを吹いた状態で、昨年11月のホビーフォーラムに展示しました。

Regarding the headlights, the previous were simply consisted with plastic lenses and polished nickel silver plates. This time I try to make them with a white metal plate to create the reflective surface.

以前のヘッドライトはピカピカに磨いた洋白板の上にプラスチック製のレンズを重ねたものでしたが、今回は板状のホワイトメタルの中央をエグって反射面を作ります。

After cutting it out to small pieces, I attached them to a plastic sheet temporarily for easier handling and then polished them to a high shine using motor-tool and sponge sandpaper.

作業しやすいようにプラ板の上に仮止めして、スポンジやすりとモーターツールのゴム砥石で磨き上げました。

I drilled a hole slightly inward from the center of the reflective surface and inserted a 0.5mm nickel silver wire as the bulb. By leaving this wire slightly long, it also a way of fixing to the body.

反射面のわずか内寄りにドリルで穴を開け、バルブに見立てた0.5mmの洋白線を差し込み、少し長めに残してボディに取り付けるピンにします。

Correcting the panel lines on the roof I’ve mentioned in the previous post, I filled it with black superglue & micro powder, then sanded the surface flat.

ルーフ上のドアの分割ラインは、元の筋彫りを黒瞬着＋パウダーで埋めて平らに整えてから、0.5mmのプラ板で簡易的なテンプレートを作って、ダイヤモンドやすりの先で少しずつ刻むように彫り直しました。

Then I made a template with a 0.5mm plastic sheet and carefully engraved new lines using a diamond file.

隣に並べたメタルボディは手持ちのストックですが、ライトハウジングに黒パテを盛ってバキュームフォーム用の原型にします。役目を終えたら、いずれカーナンバー2の優勝車で作る予定です。
