日曜日の関東地方はあいにくの雨模様で、WEC観戦に行かれた方は散々だったみたいですね。私の地元も秋祭りがあったんですが、いちばん盛り上がる土曜の夜から雨が降りだして、結局出かけるのが億劫になってしまいました。それでも自宅のすぐ脇を山車が通ってくれたので、二階の窓から失礼してパシャリ！

Only towropes are there in this photo but about 50-60 people were slowly pulling this wooden float weighing 1.5 ton. Interestingly, it has no steering system so two men walking besides the front wheels will change the float direction at a crossroad, by putting the steel pad in their hands into the contact patch of the outside wheel. Looks primitive but dynamic!

Lively music band and a clown in the fist stage of the float, and a symbolic figure on the top stage, however, we can see only the back of the head as three men on the roof hided it to clear the electric wires.

出かける‥といえば、先々週の月曜の午後、少しまとまった時間がとれたので、久しぶりに秋葉原に行ってきたので、ついでにその時の買い物報告もさせて頂きます。

By the way, I went to Akihabara a few weeks ago and got several nice supplies for a reasonable price. Recommend to go to the following shops in Akiba-area when you visit Tokyo, Japan.

駅前のヨドバシアキバからスタートして、ボークス→イエローサブマリン→タムタム→レオナルドET→レオナルドLGと歩いてきました。ヨドバシの6F模型フロアは割引率も良く、工具類や消耗品の品揃えが多いのも嬉しいですね。

使っていた面相筆がくたびれてきたので、ハセガワの熊野筆シリーズのKF-5を１本買ってみました。ウインザーニュートンのNo.7（中央）やタミヤ（右）と比較すると、毛の量が1.5倍くらいあって塗料の含みが多いのが特徴です。

続いて、電気街口を北側に出てすぐのボークス”ホビー天国”。萌え系のポスターや商品をかき分けて2Fのスケールモデルコーナーに行くと、より専門的な工具や素材の数々が並んでいます。今回は手持ちの在庫が切れかけていた0.5mmの真鍮パイプの他に、洋白製のパイプ（いずれも英国のAlbion Alloys製）を購入してきました。

真鍮に比べて材質が硬いのが難点ですが、カウル止めのファスナー表現で、これまで真鍮パイプにちまちまメッキを掛けていた手間が省けると思うとありがたいですね。
